Editor guidelines

The International Journal of Virology and Parasitology is dedicated to publishing high-quality, original research in the fields of virology and parasitology, with an emphasis on the molecular, cellular, and epidemiological aspects of viral and parasitic infections. The journal welcomes a wide range of manuscript types, including original research articles, reviews, short communications, and case reports, provided they offer significant insights into the biology, treatment, prevention, and diagnosis of viral and parasitic diseases.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must adhere to ethical research guidelines, ensuring that studies involving human or animal subjects have received appropriate ethical approval. Authors are expected to present their methodologies and findings in a transparent, detailed, and reproducible manner. The journal values clear, concise, and precise writing in English, and it encourages authors to avoid jargon or overly technical language that might impede understanding. All figures, tables, and supplementary materials should be clearly labeled and referenced in the manuscript.

The journal prioritizes studies that explore novel insights into the mechanisms of viral and parasitic infections, as well as innovative diagnostic tools, treatment strategies, and vaccine development. Research that focuses on emerging infectious diseases or regions with high endemicity is particularly encouraged. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy, originality, and relevance. Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest and acknowledge sources of financial support. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards for quality and originality will not be considered for publication.
