Review procedure
The review procedure for the Global Journal of Plant and Soil Sciences is designed to ensure the integrity, quality, and relevance of the research published in the journal. Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial assessment by the editorial team to determine its suitability for the journal's scope and adherence to submission guidelines. If the manuscript meets these criteria, it is then assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the fields of plant and soil sciences. This double-blind peer review process ensures that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous, thereby minimizing bias and promoting an objective evaluation of the research.
Reviewers are tasked with critically evaluating the manuscript for originality, methodological rigor, clarity, and significance of the findings. They provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement, which may include suggestions for revisions or additional experiments. After the review process is completed, the editorial team consolidates the feedback and communicates it to the authors, who are given the opportunity to address the reviewers' comments and resubmit their revised manuscript. The editorial team then makes a final decision regarding publication based on the reviewers' evaluations and the authors' responses.
This thorough review procedure not only enhances the quality of published articles but also fosters a collaborative environment for researchers in the fields of plant and soil sciences. By adhering to this process, the Global Journal of Plant and Soil Sciences aims to contribute valuable insights and advancements in agricultural practices, environmental sustainability, and related areas of research, ultimately supporting the growth and development of the scientific community.
