Abstract

Modified platinum electrode based on the poly 8-(3-acetylimino-6-methyl-2,4-dioxopyran)-1-aminonaphthalene
(PAMDAN) film was prepared by electrochemical polymerization technique. The modified electrode showed
electrocatalytic activity toward tramadol (Tram) oxidation in acidic aqueous solution. It was demonstrated that
Pt electrode modified by PAMDAN film (PAMDAN/Pt modified electrode) could be used for Tram detection
using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and square wave voltammetry (SWV) techniques. This modified electrode was
quite effective not only for detecting Tram, but also for simultaneous determination of Tram and dopamine
(DA) in a mixture with satisfactory results.
