Instructions for Authors

Submission Guidelines for African Journal of Chemistry (AJC)

African Journal of Chemistry (AJC) welcomes the submission of manuscripts that meet the general criteria of significance and scientific excellence. Papers will be published about one month after approval. Electronic submission of manuscripts is strongly encouraged, provided that the text, tables, and figures are included in a single Microsoft Word file (preferably in Arial font).

Submission Procedure:

  • Electronic submission: Manuscripts should be submitted via e-mail attachment to the Editorial Office at:
    editor@elixirpublications.in with the following information:
    1. Author Details: Full name, institution, and complete address details.
    2. Journal Title: The name of the journal you wish to submit to.
    3. Manuscript Title: Title of the paper.
    4. Cover Letter: Including names, e-mail addresses, and affiliations of three possible reviewers. A declaration confirming that the manuscript is original, has not been published before, and is not under consideration by any other publisher.
  • Manuscript Number: After submission, a manuscript number will be emailed to the corresponding author within 72 hours.

Cover Letter Requirements:

  • Authors are expected to provide their personal information in the cover letter, which must include the corresponding author’s full address and telephone/fax numbers.
  • The manuscript file should be attached to the email, and its name should begin with the first author’s surname.
  • The journal does not accept numbered citations in the body of the manuscript. Instead, citations should be made in-text, citing the author’s name and the year of publication.
